I just commented on Bob Zeidman’s Substack:
Here are my proposals for Constitutional amendments, in the comments section.
Consider all those person-on-the-street videos, where someone like Mark Dice interviews bubbleheads on the boardwalk. Forget about knowing American history; they don't even know basic civics!
Having said all that, we also must beware of the opposite extreme, from which we suffered too much these past 4-8 years: too much reliance on experts. Those were experts with "Good Intentions", of course!
I don't know the ideal outcome. There is a lot to be said for restricting decision-making power to those having "skin in the game".
Personally, I would prefer to reduce the power of those most dependent on expanded government, as well as the manipulative elites who use the former group to attack the middle class. I would amend the US Constitution as follows:
1) build the wall complete from sea to shining sea;
2) require proof of citizenship to register to vote;
3) require photo ID on Election Day;
4) end absentee ballots except for those physically unable to be present on Election Day;
5) enforce voter fraud as a federal felony and a state felony;
6) count only citizens in the decennial Census;
7) restrict voting to those ages 21 to 80, except for active-duty military or veterans;
8) remove the franchise from all government employees, except for active-duty military or veterans;
9) impose a 100% confiscatory tax on all personal income above GDP divided by the square root of the population;
10) end the tax-free status of foundations and endowments.
There is enough in there to outrage the far right and the far left, but it will make sense to the silent majority.
I added a comment to my earlier comment on that Substack: "On clause 9, the maximum income would be $1,572,673,786.93, which should be enough for Messrs. Gates and Soros to live on."
