Fallout from the 2025 US election
What does it all mean?
The results of the New York City mayoral election must not come as a surprise. Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate, has been excoriated mercilessly for not giving up and ordering his voters to vote unanimously for Andrew Cuomo, the rejected Democrat candidate and grandparent-killer from the pandemic. Recall, too, that Cuomo famously told conservatives that they do not belong in New York State at all, when the state is mostly conservative outside of the New York City metropolitan area! In any case, Zohran Mamdani won an absolute majority of votes, so no alternative scenario or voting scheme could have prevented his victory. I hope NYC enjoys cultural Marxist confiscatory socialism.
The New Jersey governor’s race was astonishing. Polls predicted a close margin between Republican Ciatarelli and Democrat Sherrill; and recall that polls generally have a slight pro-Democrat bias. In this case, Sherrill went on to win by double digits. Someone calculated that the Democrat vote increased by about 35% compared with four years ago. Nothing suspicious about that at all!
The Virginia governor’s race was disappointing. There is no reason the incumbent lieutenant-governor, Republican Earle-Sears, could not have ridden the coattails of her boss, Governor Youngkin. However, President Trump spitefully refused to endorse her. The reason is that during the Biden administration, looking forward to 2024, she was one of many Republicans who did not imagine Trump running for re-election at age 78, and who were ready to move forward with a younger MAGA executive like Florida Governor DeSantis, who I was hoping for. Once Trump closed the nomination, I voted for him, but for Trump, personal loyalty matters more than the good of the movement. On a slight tangent, I have not forgotten Trump's bigoted remark about Youngkin's name sounding Chinese.
The reaction of the kook right was not long in coming. The day after the election, the kook right blamed the election loss on the failure of the conservative movement to embrace the groypers, who claim to speak for all young men. Here is a sample of their ravings:
To his Groyper Army: “Raise your right hand and repeat after me: I pledge allegiance to kill, rape, and die for Nicholas J. Fuentes.”
On Adolf Hitler: “Buddy, it’s Führer Friday. It is Hitler Friday. Shut up! It is Heil Hitler Friday, n***a, Heil Hitler, all my n***as Nazis n***as Heil Hitler.” And, “Hitler was awesome. Hitler was right. The Holocaust didn’t happen.”
On women: “A lot of women want to be raped … there’s lot of women that really want a guy to beat the sh*t out of them, but they have to pretend that they don’t.”
On African Americans: “[What if we had] Chinese soldiers on every corner, and if a black person started spazzing out, they took a sword out and cut his hands off … and then they cut his head off, and his head went rolling around, you know, his decapitated body falling to his knees. What if that happened? That would be awesome!”
On the Jews: “There is an occult element at the highest levels of society, and specifically among the Jews … When we take power, they need to be given the death penalty.”
On Vice President JD Vance: “A fat, ugly piece of sh*t with a brown family.”
On Charlie Kirk: “Charlie Kirk in the grand scheme of things is just some retarded idiot. The guy’s a fake Christian. The guy’s not a patriot. He hates our country, he’s un-American. Let’s focus all our firepower on Charlie Kirk.”
When I was a young man in graduate school living on ramen noodles, it never occurred to me to engage in rape and murder to improve my life. I do not want a big tent with these psychopaths. The center will never tolerate this behavior. And I don’t find the rhetoric above to be conservative at all.
The kook right scolded us that President Trump was spending “all his time” focusing on “Middle East entanglements” (you know who that means!), at the expense of Americans. “We need to solve our own problems first!”, the classic cri de coeur of influencers being paid off by China, Russia, Iran, and Qatar; and those countries certainly are not minding their own business!
In fact, Trump has been quite busy promoting America’s domestic security. He has:
been building the border wall and deporting illegal aliens, relieving economic pressures at many points within American society;
imposed a fee on the abuse of H-1B visas, which, together with his aggressive tariffs, are improving job growth for native-born Americans;
jawboned the Federal Reserve Bank into lowering interest rates slightly, making credit slightly more accessible;
tried to develop energy wherever possible, which will lower costs throughout the economy.
Here is a chart of year-over-year inflation from 2017 Q1 to 2025 Q3, including Trump 1, Biden, and the beginning of Trump 2. The mountain occurred during the Biden presidency.
Prices have not reduced; equivalently, inflation is not negative. Trump is trying to build the labor market’s strength, because price control just does not work.
If Trump wants to get ahead of the curve, he needs to prepare a tax package that will tax businesses for their use of AI and robotics. Die-hard free-market purist philosophers will urge him to stand on principle and reject such a tax. If he follows their advice, he and his party will get crushed in the next election. We cannot afford to tell desperate people, “Let them eat cake.”
I also urge taxation of foundations and endowments at the full corporate tax rate. These entities are causing destructive mischief to our culture and society.
Trump is not an isolationist, for a simple reason: China, Russia, and the Islamic uma are not isolationist. The free world must be protected. China, Russia, and the uma have no qualms about engaging in “forever wars”; that’s what jihad is. Wishing away the existence of our opponents is a right-wing fantasy equivalent to the left’s wish to “defund the police”.
The Democrat party spent most of the four years of the Biden administration screaming hysterically at anyone who was not on the kook left. Their rhetoric turned into violence starting the day of the jihadist attack on Israel, October 7, 2023. College and university campuses turned into war zones. This turned off just enough independents to seek a sane alternative in Donald Trump in November 2024.
Now we conservatives must police our own side and not let the Hitler-Stalin-rape-genocide advocates take over our movement. If we fail, we will lose the independents who thought we were sane. I will not vote for JD Vance or anyone who lacks the guts to fight the groypers.

I want to know more about who is really behind these groyper degenerates. Even the name itself sounds like it was manufactured in a Left-wing think tank. Who is funding them? Is Nick Fuentes working for the FBI as Robert Spencer suggested at FPM? Is he actually a psychopath, or does he just play one? Are they being funded by Russia, China, Qatar type entities? Heck, are they being quietly backed by Democrats, say a la their old habits of endlessly propping up David Duke? Just who are these creeps really? How much bot or AI trickery do they use to inflate their influence? Whoever they are, they should be systematically and thoroughly marginalized as soon as possible until they have all the political clout of a schizo standing around with a broken bullhorn and a soggy misspelled cardboard sign on an intersection between a sewer and a drainpipe in a ghost town.
I concur with your analysis of the the 2025 elections. My hope is that the result is not a prologue of '26. A loss of GOP in either chamber will bring any forward progress to a standstill. What may be just as annoying is a split in the "big tent" GOP. There is the MAGA GOP, Trump's base, the RINOS (including the Neo-Cons) and the far right Groyper Army. I have a hard time imagining a group of racist, anti-Israel/Jew/Zionist toads destroying MAGA.
