Here is some essential reading from an obscure magazine: “Complex Systems Won’t Survive the Competence Crisis”.

It’s interesting to recall that yesterday I discussed the treasonous act of willfully erasing America’s external border. The article linked above discusses the erasure of a mental border, between competence and incompetence. The article demonstrates that the woke agenda entails a real death toll. This phenomenon parallels the erasure of the distinction between the citizen and the alien, and between the criminal and the victim.
Somewhere many years ago I read a statement by a philosopher or logician to the effect that distinction is the fundamental act of intellection. Having studied logic, I understood the reference (it’s all about Boolean algebra, if you must know). Thus it is unsurprising that a running theme throughout the left’s campaign to destroy Western civilization is their dogged insistence on eliminating distinctions (such as in the gender wars).
I would be very interested in Steve Boronski’s reaction to the article linked above, given his expertise in project management.
Personally I would never hire someone based on anything other than their ability and attitude.
The big danger is setting KPI’s for diversity. There’s an old management saying “What gets measured gets managed” in my experience “What gets measured gets manipulated” is much more accurate and there in lies the problem.
There might have been some difficulties with certain groups being employed in the 50’s and early 60’s, however in my working life that began in the 70’s for more than 50 years I’ve worked with a very diverse group. Most of my career has been in technology too. the British Computer Society claims that it is difficult for women to break into the profession but women have worked with me for the whole of the last fifty years. In fact they have always had an advantage over men because they bring a different perspective to the technology workplace and the few who applied would be instantly recruited.
Nobody complains that L&D, HR, Nursing, child teaching and many other areas, are dominated completely by women and fair play to them.
