If Vance doesn't get his act in gear, he can pound sand. Seeing the imminent, but not inevitable, collapse of the West under Islam is so shocking that it is hard to process. There is an evil axis out there consisting roughly of LeftWokeRight-Communism-Islam, LWRCI. It's becoming another alphabet soup, but that `I' at the end is so mindbogglingly evil it is difficult to accept its reality. 7th century Nazis have invaded, plundering, raping, torturing and murdering as they go. Meanwhile, most of our leadership is utterly feckless.

To see Trump faltering even in part is disheartening. We can never expect perfection though. MAGA leadership going forward will simply have to redouble its efforts, rapidly learn from mistakes and do better. MAGA supporters will have to get even more wise to disinformation toting, infiltrating saboteurs. They've upped their game. We have to up ours and beat these creeps. Getting this job done is far more important than any individual personality.

Your A.I. illustration looks more like Jeb! than JD Thiel. (Please clap for talentless A.I.).

No arguments there! When I tried to use Bing Image Creator for the illustration, it refused, on the grounds that the proposed image would violate its content rules. I don't really see how. This image was from an internet search. Mrs. Surak thought it resembled Charlie Kirk. I replied that I thought it looked a bit like Jeb Bush, so we are thinking the same way.

Vance is doing a good job as the president's barking dog. He has some intelligence and speaks rather well. He is ambitious, as in opportunity grabbing. His association with the Big Tech boys is worrisome, along with his involvement with the "bio-sciences". Being the VP has not often been a sure ticket into the White House. Governor DeSantis is my preferred candidate, with Senator Cruz a close second.

There are a couple of years left before another presidential campaign. A lot of things could happen and a lot of things may not happen. There is the economy and the dollar, both in horrible states, in spite of Trump's claims. There are still massive amounts of illegals who could cause some real problems in this country. There is the Middle East tension and the war between Ukraine and Russia. And, there is a potential split within the GOP and its three divisions-- Neo-cons (+RHINOs), MAGA, ultra-right There is also a rapidly developing problem with the Muslim population. My concern is getting past the next 2-3 years.

Thank you for your note. I intended to mention that in the article. In my lifetime, George H. W. Bush was the only incumbent vice-president elected to the presidency. In my lifetime, governors have been the most frequently elected to the presidency.
