The origin of civilizational suicide in the breakdown of the unicameral mind

Euripides apparently did not say, “Those whom the gods would destroy, they first make mad.” But he should have, even though there is only one God.

I gaze around this world and wonder if civilization can be saved. More and more people are proud of their psychotic break with reality. They are enraged to the point of violence with those of us still in contact with reality.

The spectacle of the Paris Olympics has been shameful from beginning to end. Even though I am a Jew, I still honor what others (Christians, Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists) consider holy, so I condemn the mockery of the Last Supper of Jesus in the opening ceremony.

The duality of men and women is also sacred, so I condemn the decision of the International Olympic Committee to allow men to beat up women and call it an athletic contest. For the life of me, I cannot understand why all female athletes do not boycott teams and events involving confused or predatory males.

We have been told for months that in order to “save democracy”, we must criminalize all political opposition, incarcerate all political opponents, and censor dissenting opinions. The party that would “save democracy” (the “Democrats”) just overthrew the votes of tens of millions of Americans, and installed a puppet without the consent of the voters. The voters of that party are overjoyed about these events.

The corresponding party in Great Britain, the Labour party, won 33.7% of the votes in the recent election, but 63.2% of the parliamentary seats. Like all left-wing parties around the world, it is busy erasing the country’s borders. With the “newcomers” preoccupied with rape and murder of the country’s natives, the latter are quite dissatisfied, and have said so publicly. For this, their government deems them “far right wing thugs”. Presumably a more docile population would go quietly to its slaughter.

Speaking of going quietly to one’s slaughter, we hosted a guest for several days a couple of weeks ago: one of the two friends of whom I wrote in a recent column. This was the more popular friend, according to the comments on that article, the one who opposed helping Ukraine maintain its territorial integrity.

During his visit, this friend asserted that Ukraine is not a sovereign nation (in accordance with Russian propaganda). He went on to complain that the US Congress is controlled by a foreign power, simply because American Christian conservatives stood up to applaud visiting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, one of the leading Churchillian figures of our generation. This statement shocked me; it sounded like Nazi propaganda. No wonder he is estranged from his cousin who lives in Israel.

This more popular of the two friends is an atheist, and has an eating disorder, refusing to eat almost any food other than vegan, even if it is organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and dairy-free. However, I entertained him by reading to him the first two chapters of a popular book by my other friend. This book is a humorous dystopia about politically correct America, featuring a character named Alisa Rosenbaum (later known as Ayn Rand). While our guest stated an admiration for Ayn Rand, he had to admit that Rand supported a powerful military for defensive purposes.

This guest has almost never worked (presumably benefiting from a trust), and has never married, despite now being on Medicare. His healthcare educational credentials have not stopped him from losing weight in his quest for purity. In addition to his hostility to Israel and Ukraine, he is writing a book on the creation of Christianity as a religious cover to justify child abuse. In the past, he has sought my comments on various religious points, but this time around, I told him I wanted no part of his project, and do not want to be named in his book.

In three weeks, I will be meeting my new set of freshmen students. Each year, my disbelief at their appearance increases. I pity their self-mutilation: studs, piercing, tattoos, and of course, surgically removed body parts. I blame vaccines, hormones like contraceptives in the water supply, overprocessed foods, social media, and so on. Such a weakened generation cannot possibly defend Western civilization. Of course, they do not want to defend Western civilization. They have been taught in school and in the media to loathe themselves, and to welcome destruction by “noble” savages.

Rufo and his patron, Governor Ron DeSantis, have made great progress in Florida. I hope their model can work nationwide.

The emperor is not wearing any clothes. I am not inclined to go along and pretend that cognitive dissonance is acceptable. Above all, truth must prevail.
