Responding to the assassination of Charlie Kirk
Where are the riots, like after the drug overdose death of George Floyd? An assassin destroyed Charlie Kirk’s jugular vein while he was on a university campus answering a question regarding transgender ultraviolence. The ammunition had written messages on it supporting transgender ultraviolence. We have been warned sternly by the “experts” about the “fascist” nature of America’s Christian majority, yet for some reason, those Christians are going about in quiet prayer. No riots yet.
Between the murder of Iryna Zarutska and the assassination of Charlie Kirk, I feel that something has changed inside me and many others. Something has died: the idea that we could talk out our differences. No more. I am so happy to be retiring soon from academia, a breeding ground for psychopaths, staffed by psychopaths. I had hoped to establish a Jewish Student Club there, but no more. That is not the kind of world I want to live in.
Europe, Canada, and Australia are lost. It is now a crime in Britain to fly the British flag or to pray as a Christian in public. Multiple AfD candidates have mysteriously died within a few weeks in Germany. So whither America? There are only a few paths forward that I see (and please let me know what I am missing).

My favored option for several years has been secession, because I know most conservatives don’t have the stomach for a fight, whatever they say about patriotism. Here is my map of the two new countries. Boundaries could be adjusted. The rule for this map was to use the 2024 presidential election results by county, and then for any county or pair of contiguous counties of one color, if they are completely surrounded on all sides by counties of the opposite color or the ocean or an international boundary, then their color is flipped. (Alaska is a little complicated.)
The advantage of this option is that both sides get to live, for the most part, in a country that reflects their values. One country, America, carries on the values of Western civilization as embodied in the Bible, Declaration of Independence, and Constitution. The other country, Alinsky, can be a revolutionary experiment in jihado-communazism. This is the most peaceful, happiest outcome.
The second option, withdrawal from society, is inspired by my travels in Pennsylvania Dutch country, the land of the “plain people”. They are largely Anabaptist, with some Pietist as well. They live a traditional lifestyle. They work hard and have communities grounded in faith. They are insular and pacifist, but I respect them very much. I believe that they bring blessings to America. Their population is increasing, and that makes me happy.
The plain people have almost no involvement in politics. Can this America survive if it allows the left to rule unchallenged? I honestly do not know the answer.
The third option is for those who want to retain America’s unity without withdrawing from society. It requires fighting, something that is unwelcome to most conservatives, who prefer to mind their own business. We are now at a stage where we cannot talk or vote our way out of the current situation.
Conservatives must consider what their movement is. It is not libertarianism. Even Ayn Rand called libertarians “right-wing hippies”. Conservatives must want to conserve something: namely, Western civilization. As I observed in an earlier column, there are many economic liberals who are cultural conservatives. Recognizing this explains President Trump’s electoral victory.
I have long said, since my old Wordpress blog, that the left is the totalitarian id. Michael Savage described leftism as a mental illness. I would say it is the dominant mental illness. These people are unhinged. They are not kindly people with a big heart. They are savages who rejoice in the deaths of their political opponents.
To live in a country with such people without withdrawal or submission requires defeating them decisively. That will require several radical steps that may appear distasteful. I am trying to avoid gratuitous recommendations, focusing only on what is necessary to deradicalize the left and re-establish traditional Western civilization.
Restore vaccine manufacturer liability.
The following should have its broadcast license withdrawn: MSNBC.
There must be a national voter ID and national E-Verify for employment.
There must be a complete border wall and repatriation of all illegal aliens.
The following should be prosecuted under RICO: George Soros and the DNC.
The death penalty should be invoked for child rapists, drug dealers, and traitors.
The following should be disbanded as subversive organizations: AFT, APA, NEA.
Vouchers must be given to parents of K-12 students to use at the school of their choice.
The Constitution must be amended to clarify that disorderly conduct is never free speech.
The Constitution must be amended to specify that English is the official language of America.
The Constitution must be amended to specify that the terms of senators should be 4 years, not 6.
Federal employees unions must be decertified, so the President can fire employees at will.
The voting age must be raised to 21, except for those ages 18-20 currently in the military or veterans.
Cameras must be installed in all classrooms to allow parents to monitor their children’s education.
The Constitution must be amended to clarify that neither Islam or Satanism is protected by freedom of religion.
Any doctor performing sex-change surgery on otherwise physically healthy people should lose his or her medical license.
The Constitution must be amended to clarify that marriage exists only between one adult man and one adult woman, neither of whom has a grandparent that is an ancestor of the other.
Government must end all funding for “higher education”. The income of college and university endowments, as well as charitable foundations, should be taxed at corporate income tax rates.
The following should be proscribed as terrorist organizations: ANSWER, ANTIFA, BLM, CAIR, DSA, the Muslim Brotherhood, PYM, SJP, and any form of the Communist Party or the Nazi Party.
The Constitution must be amended to permit religious tests for office. Specifically, only Christians are eligible to be President, Vice-President, Supreme Court Justices, cabinet secretaries, governors, and senators. Atheists, Muslims, and Satanists are ineligible to any public office.
The final option is surrender. Admit we don’t have the guts to fight. Give money to groups that write sternly worded letters to the New York Times, and to foundations that produce reports on how to reform the educational system. Vote for libertarians. Sacrifice your communities to the wild mobs, because we don’t want to become like them. Die nobly and let your heritage be destroyed.
The most likely outcome is that the mainstream conservative movement will surrender. However, the plain people will continue their quiet growth, at least until they become large enough to pose a perceived threat to the powerful left, who will take brutal steps to bring them under control. Then Western civilization will have to be kept alive somewhere else, I know not where. I used to be optimistic about eastern Europe, but even there, fertility rates are far below replacement (yellow in the graphic below).
We need leadership and action now. If a responsible person does not step forth, beware; an opportunist will step forth and bring us terror.

There is an ideology that has steadily been growing in this country which hates everything that is good, righteous and beautiful and celebrates everything that is warped, twisted and depraved. It is an ideology at war with family and nature. It is envious, malicious, and soulless. It is an ideology that looks upon the perfect family with bitter rage while embracing the serial criminal with tender warmth. Its adherents organize constantly to tear down and destroy every mark of grace and beauty while lifting up everything monstrous and foul. It is an ideology that leads, always, inevitably and willfully, to violence — violence against those uphold order, who uphold faith, who uphold family, who uphold all that is noble and virtuous in this world. It is an ideology whose one unifying thread is the insatiable thirst for destruction.
We see the workings of this ideology in every posting online cheering the evil assassination that cruelly robbed this nation of one of its greatest men. Postings from those in positions of institutional authority — educators, healthcare workers, therapists, government employees — reveling in the vile and the sinister with the most chilling glee.
The fate of millions depends upon the defeat of this wicked ideology. The fate of our children, our society, our civilization hinges on it.
Now we devote ourselves, with love and unyielding determination, to finishing the indispensable work to which Charlie bravely devoted his life and gave his last measure of devotion.
Things do look bleak for Western Civilization. After trying to educate the Liberals and the Left for ten years now, I have come to the conclusion that they are incapable of learning because learning requires humility.
