Let me introduce myself.

I was born in what was once called America. I live in a place with an authoritarian government that flies the American flag, but I no longer can see the constitutional, federal, classically liberal, democratic republic for which that flag once stood. I am a Torah-observant Jew, and one of extremely few professors at my college that still admires Western civilization. My teaching revolves around data, and I bring logic and evidence to my essays. I am committed to God and truth above all. I have been blogging steadily since July, 2020 on Wordpress:

The purpose of this essay is to examine the relationship of the varied categories in that blog. Here is a list.

The big three are Culture war, Pandemic, and Tyranny watch, but several others show up almost daily. Often I find myself wondering where exactly the latest news story should be classified. Why do the big three come up so often, and why do the other categories often have relationships to them and to each other?

You may know the saying that the issue is never the issue. It is just a distraction for the mindless. And the mindless are often to be found in dominant proportions among the credentialed, those with abbreviations after their names.

We are familiar with the phenomenon of the crisis du jour: today’s crisis that must be remedied right now! Poverty! Global warming! Masks! Racism! Vaccines! “Undocumented immigrants”! “Voter suppression”! Transphobia! If you are a suitably modern person, you are plugged into the network of social media and propaganda (I will not dignify them by the name “news”) that will give you today’s issues and correct opinions:

The enemy, as I have discovered to my chagrin, is the man who thinks for himself. People like me ask the questions “How do you know what you claim to know?” and “Why should I do (or not do) what you are so urgent to do (or not do)?” We are the subject of withering contempt, being under the sway of “misinformation”: a clear danger to democratic society. From now on, we will hold democratic votes on the laws of logic, the laws of material nature, and the laws of human nature.

When things do not work out as the utopians expect, someone must be blamed. Who? The original thinker - the individualist. Fortunately for the utopians, they never take responsibility for their intellectual failures. But this is an old story.

What is relatively new for me is the realization that as I am blogging about the week’s events, I am really only telling one connected story. There is an underlying logic and consistency about events, provided one acknowledges that all we are observing in what laughingly passes for “the news” is merely a shadow-play. There is a more fundamental conflict going on.

On my blog, I identified the left as “the totalitarian id”. They can demand green energy, zero carbon dioxide emissions (which would completely destroy all multicellular life on earth), open borders, universal income, no bail, vote-by-mail, race and sex quotas throughout society, without expecting to be held accountable by forgiving conservatives.

This represents the honey-pot to lure in leftist activists, to waste their lives on one cause or another, hopefully destroying as many conservatives as they can in the process. But I think the phenomenon is deeper.

There are too many patterns, too many hints, for all of the continued leftist utopian experiments to be mere chance, organized haphazardly by individual ids. I believe there is a malevolent force at work as well, powerful and wealthy beyond belief, and that their plans for humanity are democidal and transhumanist: monstrous in the extreme. I have come to believe that the dark warnings of ancient prophets of many religions are not merely symbolic, but quite concrete.

The Tower of Babylon was the first globalist project, and it will not be the last. Today’s elites are increasingly open as they herd the dutiful lemmings (including bureaucrats and professors) into the pig trap. The World Economic Forum is the most visible symbol of this group, but their tentacles are everywhere.

I am realistic enough about human nature to understand that a majority of people crave serfdom. They are not instantly repelled by the warning: “You will own nothing and you will be happy.” (It sounded better in the original German…)

My question is whether there is a critical mass of people who will separate from the system to form our own nation dedicated to Judeo-Christian Western civilization. If conservative leaders refuse to issue such a call, then we will conserve nothing.
