Surakvulcan takes a stand, for Truth, Freedom and the (North) American way!  So what is that way?  It is "plain spoken" and unadorned; it is wanting to get to know your neighbours (in case you need their help) and "thinking about their wants and needs"; it is self-reliance and "willingness to lend a hand"; it is "show me", but "don't tread on me"; it is "live and let live" and a "true North, strong and free".  It is service to others: World War One; World War Two; Korea; Viet Nam; Afghanistan, none of which were in our back yard, but were in our world!  Is that because we are blood thirsty and desire the death of our best and brightest?

Don't let your political enemies define you.  Just look at the cenotaphs in any jurisdiction, or visit the war cemeteries in the above countries; why would a people want to die for others?  Because we are different, modeled on the example of the family we grew up in: we may squabble like dogs and cats but we are still in this together.  Some of us are, anyway.

Chuck, I used to live in NW Arkansas, where I earned my first degree in a college, there. I've always been fascinated by cemeteries, especially where the war-dead are buried. While walking though one of these cemeteries, I saw a very old gravestone, and its age piqued my interest.

It was the grave of a Civil War Brigadier General, who fought for the South. The name was unreadable, and he had obviously died in the Civil War. This single grave became something of a symbol to me of the uselessness of war, even though I have been in combat. I cleaned up this grave as best I could, and then stood at attention and saluted this long-dead officer of the Confederacy.

I was in the process of moving out-of-state, and decided I would make a final visit to this man's grave. When I approached, I could see from a distance that something was wrong. When I could clearly see his grave marker, I realized that someone had vandalized the grave, breaking the stone into several pieces. Senseless violence against a man who died for HIS country, so many years ago ...

Note that this was long before the destruction of war memorials of the last several years. But as you said, I will not allow our political enemies to define me

Dear Steffen,

Your reply is poignant, pithy, and moving to me: previously, while visiting my son’s ship (he was attached to the helicopter crew) returning from the Afghanistan theatre, I visited the huge cemeteries of Allied Army war dead in Busan Korea. The numbers of casualties from that war were dreadful (3 million), but the Korean people there are soulful, humble and demonstrative in appreciation for help from others in their fight against communism (a United Nations defensive war https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korean_War).

I have a sister in Canada and a cousin in England who feel as you do, obliged to honour their ancestors and making it their business to tend the grave sites of relatives. You do them one better, by showing simple caring towards a deceased soldier who shared your character: the morality of helping others. This concern for the wants and needs of others is important to the fabric of our lives and runs deep in the DNA of all creation.

There is something sacred and fatherly about the duty males feel in the urge to protect our family, our community and our way of life: this is not unique to humans and in any family unit, labour must be divided for efficiency; so it falls to the male of any species to put his life on the line for those he protects. Where I live, we are beset by too many Canada Geese (not enough natural predators, decline in hunting, etc.) and they foul my beach and bully the other avians. This spring I was out on my quad (4WD motorcycle) and noticed a group had snuck onto the grass near where we sun bath. As I tried to scare them away by driving up fast to them, gunning my engine, I realized it was a gaggle of goslings with a large gander supervising. As they all raced for the safety of the water, a youngster tripped and fell head-over-webbed-feet before me as I realized my error. The father stepped in front of him to challenge me, one tenth my size and one thousandth my power: no matter, it was this instinct to protect that I’m talking about that gave him agency, and I backed off as they returned to the water.

Now many would criticize me for harassing wild life, like some criticize men for going to war, as if women were not equivalent to the right hemisphere of our species. However, even the geese harass their fellow birds, as do the crows, osprey and bald eagles that live here. We are all asserting our right to territory and if that’s a problem, then it is a problem with the planet, not the warriors among us. As for the vandalism on the grave of the Unknown Soldier, that is the profane which highlights the sacredness of your service to him.

Thank you for your reply, Chuck!

Have you heard from Surak, recently? I'm very concerned about him and his good lady. Is he posting somewhere else?

Hello, Wolfie! We are still here, but really busy! Mrs. Surak's operation was in September, around the same time I got an unpleasant upper respiratory illness looking a lot like omicron. A month or so of bronchitis coincided with Mrs. Surak's ongoing convalescence, and me rolling out notes and videos for a new course I never taught before. It is my hope to get back on blog when school is over in mid-December. I have a new graphic showing that the most severe injuries are 32 times more numerous with CoVID injections compared to all vaccines combined.

Let us pray that we will live long enough to witness the end of Liz Cheney's political career, and that we have a fully honest election, with new leaders willing to investigate the 2020 election, the 1/6 political prisoners, the persecution of Trump, the Hunter laptop, Seth Rich's murder, CIA-DOJ-FBI-IRS politicization, the grooming of children by the left, the mutilation of children by the left, the attempted race war by the left, Event 201, NIH funding for gain-of-function research, the pandemic response, CDC-FDA corruption, the persecution of the uninjected, and the coverup of hundreds of thousands of injection deaths and injuries!

I didn't plan for that last sentence to be that long...

Have a good weekend, my friends!

Hello, Surak! Although I'm quite late with this, it's very good to hear from you.

I've heard from my son, and it seems that he's in Poland. Naturally, he won't tell me exactly where or what he's doing, and I wouldn't expect him to. However, I would guess that he's doing training of Polish forces.

My good lady is doing quite well, and is baking, baking, and baking. It's wonderful to see her feeling so good. Cakes, pies, cookies ... luckily, what I eat doesn't immediately turn to fat! It's also very good to see her walking - at least in the house - without a walker.

You take care, my very good friend, and I don't have to say, "Take care of your good lady." I know that you will!

Blessings on the both of you.

Wolfie

PS I bagged a deer, recently, and he's all dressed out and ready for eatin'!

"My question is whether there is a critical mass of people who will separate from the system to form our own nation dedicated to Judeo-Christian Western civilization. If conservative leaders refuse to issue such a call, then we will conserve nothing". This was excellent and extremely perseptive.

You may have some holdouts (Like me) that want to win the entire pie; not just a piece. I have come to realize that if we can hold a piece the rest will fall to us by default. The Left (Uniparty, OWG or whatever our enemy calls itself) has never been good at building and making, only destroying. I am addressing this from a secular point of view; we know how this plays out from a spiritual perspective... we read the book (Regardless of the version, LOL).

Time to call the enemy what they are; The Forces of Evil!

We are at War.

You can call it what you want but the sooner we accept that we are fighting for our very existence the sooner we can start winning the war.

Most of my life I have spent in the process of war; preparation, fighting the battles, negotiating the end or recovering from the effects...

The biggest problem is that we tend to try and fight the next war with the last wars tools and rules. The US Military is still basking in the successful outcome of the cold war. Hello! That war ended 34 years ago. Meanwhile China has been preparing and reconnoitering the battlefield for the next war. They are well on the way to winning this one because there is no victory if we actually have to fight the next war. To win is to not have to fight, controlling the outcome with little or no combat...

This is why pResident Briben's administration is such a failure; his incompetence and weakness has emboldened our enemies. As things stand now huge swaths of our production capabilities are under the control of the enemy.

Not Good!

I am a Manufacturing Consultant and work for several Fortune 500 companies. Or I did till I became so toxic that no one was interested in the gains I could help them generate in manufacturing. You would not think I would be a "rebel"; I spent 24 years of my life in the US Army as my first career. I then went forth and got a degree in Business with a focus in Production Operations. I have worked, successfully, for many years completing my MBA in Data Analytics in 2023. I have been an avid reader of Surak's blogs for since 2020 but have broken off contact in fear that I could harm his career with my toxicity.

My crime is telling the truth and not accepting lies or distortions regardless of who supports them. If honesty means the end of my career, then so be it; my new career is calling attention to the lies. Not exactly what the enemies of truth would want. The one thing that I believe I can say with certainty; Surak, the man, is honorable and honest. This is a major accomplishment nowadays...

Since it is now irreverent, I may start posting again; I miss my online pals...

God Bless Israel and keep my Friends there safe!

I hope they do not let any power stop them from destroying Hamas!

God Bless America and restore her to righteous behavior as Land of the Free!

May God Bless my Friend Surak and keep him and his family safe.

Dan, it is great to have you back again! There is no contradiction between your military service and being a rebel. Don't forget America's first army were all rebels! Today, I might say the converse is true: today's rebels are the core of America's next army of freedom.

I am thrilled to hear about your new degree. We may be able to do some work together. I will contact you offline.
