Yes, it is big, but not beautiful. There is no regard for the national debt. DC will let that debt keep climbing, until it explodes. When that happens, the nation will, for all intensive purposes, collapse. Couldn't they at least exclude the fat, waste and theft uncovered by DOGE? DC Swamp will not listen to the people concerned about the fiscal solvency of the country. Obviously, the Deep State (and central bankers) are still in control.

Who are you, and us in the UK, indebted to? I have asked this question many times and I can’t get answers. Whoever is loaning the money has incredible influence over our so called democracy.

Good questions. In the United States, the creditors are shown in this graphic:

This page has information about UK debt:

Thanks Surak, those graphics look completely reasonable until one reads into the details and then there’s the little notes like this: The Bank of England's holdings of gilts not related to the Asset Purchase Facility are included in the 'Banks and building societies' category.

Obfuscation or my lack of knowledge?

I agree. I think the NPR comment is correct but doesn't seem relevant to this article since its budget is very small compared to the debt.

That's the point! We are unable to defund such a tiny enterprise as NPR. What hope, then, of righting the ship of state?

I see your point. Sometimes, though, the smaller things are harder because some people see them as insignificant.

So they are arresting people on no basis? No charges? Just a mass genocide?

Who is it exactly that is hypnotized? This blog has been extremely critical of President Trump when the occasion warrants it. Evidently you didn't even read my article. You have nothing to say on the principal topic.

Then again, you are a fabian, so there's that.

Bye

Tentative? Oh please, he's doing this with men dressed in full battle gear to create maximum chaos. The best way is what we have to some degree, done in the past, and go after the employers so their jobs dry up.

But truth is, both right and left have accepted them mostly into our economy. Go ahead and try to deport them all and watch what happens to small businesses and others who are unable to get enough citizens do do some pretty brutal physical work.

President Trump is not creating chaos at all. He is responding to chaos: the invasion of 30 million plus unvetted illegal alien criminals, openly loyal to foreign countries over America. I am not willing to take a chance on their good will, knowing that many of them are likely agents of the Chinese communist party or jihadists.

Pay has stagnated relative to GDP. Maybe employers will get more favorable results from Americans once they stop relying on foreigners as wage slaves.
